‘We’re Back for Another Novel Evening’

 

Sue Klau will serve as honorary chair at “We’re Back for Another Novel Evening” on Sunday June 23, from 6-8:30 p.m. at the Easton’s Beach rotunda. Klau, who lives in Greensboro, North Carolina, returns to Newport in the spring and summer, where more than 1,000 children know her as the library’s puppeteer. She has been part of the children’s department for more than 15 years, reading, doing crafts or making puppets with youngsters ranging in age from 5-12. The evening will feature carousel rides, a live and silent auction, hors d’oeuvres, desserts and complimentary beer and wine. Guests will enjoy music by steel pannist Aaron Ambramson Cote of Panoramic View. Tickets are $80 per person. Reservations can be made by calling 401-847-8720, x100. Walk-ins are welcome.
