One hundred and seventy guests gathered at the Easton’s Beach Rotunda Ballroom to raise money for the Clagett sailors at the annual Clagett Regatta Sail into Summer fundraiser.
While enjoying rides on the vintage carousel and custom cocktails from KEEL vodka, the silent auction tables drew plenty of activity bidding for the Clagett Boat Grant Program. For those guests who wanted to show their Clagett pride when out and about, swag was available to guests with many now displaying The Clagett on their belts and key chains.
With a grant from Newman’s Own Foundation, the cause auction raised money for the Clagett Boat Grant Program. After listening to guest speaker Sarah Everhart Skeels, who spoke about the importance of the Clagett to adaptive sailors, donors matched the grant and raised enough money to purchase two 2.4mR boats for the program which will be available for application later this year.
The 17th C. Thomas Clagett, Jr. Memorial Clinic and Regatta will be held at Sail Newport in Fort Adams State Park from June 18 to 23.
