Rogers Makes the Honor Roll

Rogers High School is one of 130 school districts in the U.S. being recognized for creating opportunities for traditionally under-represented students.

The districts featured on the honor roll have expanded access to higher education by providing students with rigorous academic offerings and innovative college preparation programs. They demonstrated significant and consistent growth in the number of underrepresented students and students from lower-income backgrounds enrolled in AP courses, taking the SAT, and applying to four or more colleges.

Rogers High School Principal Jeffrey Goss had the following to say: “It shows our dedication to providing rigorous Advanced Placement offerings in a wide variety of content areas. Our students have challenged themselves not only through our offerings on campus but they have also taken advantage of our Virtual High School and concurrent and dual enrollment opportunities; as well as our career and tech hands-on experiences.”

To be included, RHS had to increase the total number of underrepresented students who took the SAT and sent the scores to at least four colleges; increase the total number of underrepresented students who were on track for college, as demonstrated by scoring 1550+ on the SAT; and, increase the total number of underrepresented students who took and AP course and scored a three or higher on an AP Exam.
