Gladys Lorraine Benz, 74, of Portsmouth passed away Jan. 18, 2015 at Newport Hospital. She was the wife of the late Bruce Benz. She also leaves behind two daughters and four granddaughters. Calling hours will be Friday, Jan. 23, from 3 – 6 p.m. at the Memorial Funeral Home. Her funeral service will immediately follow calling hours at 6 p.m. Donations in her memory may be made to the VFW Lady’s Auxiliary, 52 Underwood Lane, Middletown, RI 02842.

Cheryl A. (Beaucage) Bushey, 58, of Weymouth, Mass., formerly of Portsmouth, passed away Jan. 19, 2015 at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Boston. She was the wife of Richard L. Bushey. Calling hours will be Saturday, Jan. 24, from 8 – 9:30 a.m. at Connors Funeral Home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Anthony’s Church, Portsmouth.

Noreen E. (Mello) Critchley, 65, of Portsmouth, passed away Jan. 18, 2015 at Heatherwood Nursing and Subacute Center, Newport. She was the wife of Charles F. Critchley. She leaves a daughter, Renée Critchley of Portsmouth. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, Jan. 22, at 10 a.m. at St. Barnabas Church.

Patricia Ann Conway, 84, of Middletown, formerly of Portsmouth, passed away Jan. 14, 2015 at John Clarke Health Care Center in Middletown. She was the wife of the late Arthur A. Conway. She leaves behind two children and five grandchildren. Donations in her memory may be made to St. Barnabas Church Building Fund, 1697 East Main Road, Portsmouth, RI 02871.

Eva Elizabeth “Bette” Del Nero, 87, of Newport, passed away Jan. 13, 2015. She was the wife of the late Vincent F. Del Nero. She leaves behind three children and seven grandchildren. Donations in her memory may be made to the Potter League for Animals, P.O. Box 412, Newport, RI 02840.

Charles Robert Flick, 82, of Middletown, passed away Jan. 19, 2015 at Rhode Island Hospital. He was the husband of Dolores Flick. He retired after a 23-year career in the U.S. Navy as a senior chief. He leaves behind his four children: Deborah Kestler, Lydia Reynolds, and Melissa Mather all of Middletown, and Mark Flick of Tiverton, 10 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, Jan. 22, at 10:30 a.m. at Jesus Saviour Church. Burial with Military Honors will take place in Newport Memorial Park. Donations in his memory may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Fund, 26 Broadway 14th Floor, New York, NY 10004.

Roosevelt J. Graham Jr., 62, of Middletown, passed away Jan. 7, 2015 at home. He served in the U.S. Air Force. He is survived by his daughters Leora Vargas of Newport, Jasmynn Massey of Middletown and Mary Jane Sacedor of the Philippines, and five grandchildren.

Gloria P. (Faerber) Little, 87, of Portsmouth, passed away Jan. 15, 2015. She was the wife of John R. “Jack” Little. She leaves behind eight children, 15 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.

Mary F. (Rodrigues) O’Connor, 86, of Middletown, passed away Jan. 16, 2015 at Newport Hospital. She was the wife of the late Alfred J. O’Connor. She leaves behind four daughters and eight grandchildren. Donations in her memory may be made to St. Lucy’s Church, 909 West Main Road, Middletown, RI 02482.

Stephen C. O’Rourke Jr., 70, passed away Jan. 14, 2015, at Newport Hospital. He leaves behind three children and five grandchildren. Donations in his memory may be made to Lucy’s Hearth, 913 West Main Road, Middletown.

Nancy Knowles Parker, 85, cofounder of Greenvale Vineyards in Portsmouth and publisher of the New England Wine Gazette, passed away Jan. 10, 2015 in Boston, Mass. She was the wife of the late Cortlandt Parker. They planted a vineyard in 1980 at Greenvale, Mr. Parker’s family farm dating back to 1860, and followed with the founding of the winery in 1992. The Parkers earlier established a weekly newspaper chain in New Jersey that covers 55 towns. She leaves behind four children and 12 grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 31, at St. Mary’s Episcopal Church, Portsmouth.

Jane M. (Santerre) Perreault, 100, of Portsmouth, passed away Jan. 17, 2015 at home surrounded by loved ones. She was the wife of the late Joseph A. “Tootsie” Perreault. She leaves behind three daughters and five generations of grandchildren. Donations in her memory may be made to the Visiting Nurses Service of Newport and Bristol Counties Hospice, 1184 East Main Road, Portsmouth, RI 02871.

Rita A. Spicer, 81, of North Dartmouth, Mass., formerly of Newport, passed away Jan. 14, 2015 at Charlton Memorial Hospital, Fall River, Mass. She was the wife of Walter L. Spicer. Donations in her memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105, stjude.org.

Amy K. (Matter) Williams, 91, formerly of Newport, passed away Jan. 13, 2015 in Woodland Hills, Calif. She was the wife of the late David C. Williams. Born in Newport on Feb. 6, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Lilla (Rodda) Matter. She is survived by her sister, Betty (Matter) Chambers of Newport, three sons, seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Her son, Charles E. Williams and her brother, Charles H. Matter Jr., predeceased her. She was a 1940 graduate of Rogers High School and was employed by the J.T. O’Connell Co. and the New England Telephone Co. in Newport before moving to Calif. with her young family in 1948. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
