The Newport YMCA is offering a blended learning Red Cross waterfront lifeguard training class. The required swim test will be Friday, Jan. 29 at 6 p.m. Classes will be on Sundays Feb. 7, 14, and 21 from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. If interested in attending, contact the Aquatics Department to get the link for the online segment of the class. This class will include a review of the Rhode Island surf test elements. The class is $265 for members, $285 for non-members and a $35 fee to Red Cross for the online segment.
