A visitor recently brought in a small collection of silver items including the pictured sterling cigarette case. Meant to hold somewhat short (filterless) cigarettes, the outside of the case was inlaid with 2 colors of gold bands. From the 1930’s, cigarette cases were elegantly used by gentleman; not so much today, probably less smokers and perhaps a little less gentlemen. Value: $100-$150.
