A Banner Year for the Grads

What appears to have become a new tradition, began last year for Rogers seniors when banners with their faces were displayed along Newport’s Broadway as a way to celebrate the senior class during the unprecedented pandemic year. This year, that way of recognizing seniors continued when 170 posed in cap and gown for their photo portraits with Jen Carter. On Tuesday, May 4, parents hung the Rogers Class of 2021 banners, funded by the Senior Parents Group in conjunction with Rogers High School PTO. One of those helping was Amanda Bryan, whose daughter Emma Bryan is graduating this year. “As a parent of a graduating senior, it was an exciting and emotional day. The banners are an amazing way to celebrate the graduates and a tradition that I hope will continue for years to come,” Bryan said. (Photos above by Jen Carter)
