Dancing with the Stars of Mentoring

Aquidneck Island Mentoring was established in 2004 during a meeting with then Newport school superintendent, Dr. Mary Canole, who became a mentor herself. The original participants were Shef­field, Carey, Cranston-Calvert and Sullivan elementary schools. Cur­rently, all Newport schools partic­ipate in the program.
