For What It’s Worth

– Federico Santi, partner, Drawing Room Antiques, 401-841-5060 – Federico Santi, partner, Drawing Room Antiques, 401-841-5060 Pictured is an example of everything that you should not to to a fine vintage Louis Vuitton trunk! It belonged to an uncle who received the trunk as a gift from the Taylor family of the Glen. First, the trunk was painted pale green over the leather surface. You can see where the original red stripe is located under the green paint. Then, it was used to store what may have been paint cans and kept in a damp place for decades. So what may have been a $3,500 trunk now has nominal worth, which is a nice way to say no value, just sentimental value.
