‘Making Government Work in Middletown’

The Middletown Public Library will be presenting a series of six workshops entitled “Making Government Work in Middletown.” The workshops will provide an opportunity to learn more about the governing framework of the Middletown community and the various activities that support the town. Discussions will be moderated by Barbara A. VonVillas, who has a lifelong understanding of Middletown and has contributed more than 35 years of public service to the community. The workshops, to be conducted on Thursday evenings from 6 to 7:30 p.m., will include: “Middletown – Its Citizens, Its Values, Its Government” on Sept. 6; “Middletown Government - Town Charter” on Sept. 13; “Middletown Government – Structure and Services” on Sept. 20; “Middletown Government – Strategic Planning” on Oct. 4; “Middletown Government – Finance, Budget, and Taxes” on Oct. 1; “Making a Difference in Middletown” on Oct. 18.
