Donald P. Boucher Dec. 26, 1961 – May 7, 2018

Donald P. Boucher, 56, of Newport, passed away May 7, 2018 at Rhode Island Hospital. Born in New Bedford, Mass., he was the son of the late Joseph and Eugenie Boucher.

He was the husband of Esther (Sowalsky) Boucher. Besides his wife he leaves his children Deborah, Timothy, Emily, Angelina, Giada and John Boucher, all of Newport.

He also leaves his children, Lora Dearing and her husband of Texas; Rebecca Gauna and her husband of N.M.; Melissa Foglesong of Ohio; David Boucher and his wife, of Virg.; Brian Boucher and his wife of Calif.; and Daniel Boucher and his wife, currently serving in South Korea, along with his cherished grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends.

He was the brother of Joan Martin of Fall River, Paul Boucher of New Bedford, Rene Boucher of Calif. and Simone Costa of Mass. He was the son-in-law of Rodney Sowalsky. He was preceded in death by his brother, Joseph Boucher.

Funeral services were held May 14 at Crosspoint Church. As a U.S. Army veteran, his burial was held at the National Cemetery in Bourne.
