Soup’s On

Resurrection Discussion

Rev. Alan Neale will begin a new series on Sunday, April 8, entitled, “After the Tomb: Resurrection Appearances.” Discussions will focus on the appearances of Jesus after his resurrection and the way in which the resurrection affects our lives today. The program will take place at Trinity Church’s Honyman Hall on Queen Anne Square from 9-9:45 a.m., coffee will be served and all are welcome. Spaghetti Dinner

Andrew Bauer is using his senior project to raise money for the McKinney Shelter. The dinner will be held on Sunday, April 8, 5-7 p.m., at St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church, 87 Narragansett Ave., Jamestown. The Changing Table

United Baptist Church, 30 Spring St., offers the Changing Table, a program that supplies diapers and wipes for Newport County families in need. For more information, call 401-847-3210.

Public Passover Seder Potluck

On Sunday, April 8, at 5 p.m., Channing Memorial Church, 135 Pelham St., invites the public to a Passover seder potluck in the parish hall. Celebrating Passover as a community event is a fun way to understand the traditions and beliefs, along with the music and food of Jewish people. Children are welcome and encouraged to attend. St. Mary’s Thrift Shop Closing

The thrift shop at St. Mary’s Episcopal Church, 324 East Main Road, Portsmouth, will be closing soon. Donations will no longer be accepted. The shop will offer reduced prices and will be open from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Wednesdays and Saturdays until the last day of business on Wednesday, April 25. 401-846-9700.

Spanish-Speaking Services

Crosspoint Church, 14 Rhode Island Ave., offers Spanish-speaking services on the first Sunday of the month at 12:30 p.m. 401-846-3064.
