Night to Shine Prom

Nicolette Peloquin and Anthony Chece Nicolette Peloquin and Anthony Chece OceanPointe Christian Church served as one of more than 450 churches around the world that simultaneously hosted Night to Shine, sponsored by the Tim Tebow Foundation, on Friday, Feb. 9. Night to Shine is an unforgettable prom night experience, for people with special needs, ages 14 and older.

More than 250 guests from across Rhode Island Massachusetts and Connecticut attended the event at the Atlantic Resort in Middletown at no cost to them.

Every guest of Night to Shine entered on a red carpet, complete with a warm welcome from a friendly crowd, and even paparazzi. Guests received the royal treatment, including hair and makeup stations, shoe shining areas, corsages and boutonnieres, a catered dinner, karaoke, prom favors, and, of course, a dance floor, all leading up to the moment when each guest is crowned king or queen of the prom. Miss Rhode Island was on hand to present many of the crowns.

It’s a time in which people can work together and be a part of something significant and life changing and be blessed in the process.” said Tim Tebow, founder of the Tim Tebow Foundation.
