MEC Grants

More than $13,000 in funding will be awarded to Middletown Public Schools to support creative and resourceful educational opportunities in the town’s public schools through the Middletown Education Collaborative (MEC) Fall 2017-18 Grants Cycle. Some of the programs MEC has fully or partially funded this grant cycle include: Start-to-Finish Books, Gaudet Middle School; Model United Nations, Middletown High School; A Christmas Carol performance field trip, Aquidneck School; Stories Come Alive, with Len Cabral as storyteller, Forest Avenue School; Alton Jones sixth grade field trip, Gaudet Middle School; and Elevated Race Track to support “Project Lead the Way,” Middletown High School. Middletown Public School teachers are encouraged to apply for the Spring Grant Cycle. The deadline for submission is Jan. 15. The grant application can be downloaded at mecmec.org/grants.
