‘Our Town’

The CBC Players’ will present Thornton Wilder’s play, “Our Town,” on Nov. 3-4 at 7 p.m. and Nov. 5 at 4 p.m. at Central Baptist Church, 99 Narragansett Ave., Jamestown. Tickets at the door, $12-$14. Proceeds will help support hurricane efforts. 401-423- 1651.

Candlelight Concert

St. John’s Church, 61 Poplar St., will present a candlelight concert of remembrance benefiting national and international disaster relief on Sunday, Nov. 5, at 7 p.m. The St. John’s adult choir and the Professional Choristers of the Choir School of Newport County will be joined for two pieces by the Newport Navy Choristers. The program celebrates All Saints and All Souls Day, Remembrance Sunday and Veterans’ Day. Tickets are $20-$50 and are available at the door or online at brownpapertickets.com/ event/3115782. All Saints Evensong

On Sunday, Nov. 5, at 5 p.m., Emmanuel Church, 42 Dearborn St., will celebrate All Saints Sunday with an All Saints Evensong. Evensong is a service of sung prayers for the evening. The Nov. 5 service will feature organ and choral music followed by a simple reception. Everyone in the community is welcome. 401-847-0675.

Live Auction

St. Columba’s Chapel, 55 Vaucluse Ave., Middletown, will hold an auction event on Friday, Nov. 10. The preview and silent auction will be at 6 p.m., and the live auction will be at 7 p.m. 401-847-5571.

Annual Service of Remembrance

Visiting Nurse Home and Hospice (formerly Visiting Nurse Services of Newport and Bristol Counties) announces its annual service of remembrance, Sunday, Nov. 12, at 2 p.m., at the United Congregational Church, 524 Valley Road, Middletown. This nondenominational service honors the memory of patients who have died during the past year. Family members, friends and staff who want to honor these memories are invited to participate in the lighting of candles, reading of names, singing, and sharing inspirational thoughts. An informal reception will follow. Circle of Soul

Every third Wednesday from 5:45-7 p.m., St. Paul’s Methodist Church, 12 Marlborough St., invites the public to participate in the flow of rhythmic attunements, group improvisations, songs and worldbeat rhythms. The next meeting will take place on Wednesday, Nov. 15. 401-846-0966.

Winter Coat Drive

United Congregational Church, 524 Valley Road, Middletown, is partnering with St. Paul's Methodist Church in a coat collection project. Winter coats can be brought to United Congregational Church through Sunday, Nov. 19. The coats will be transported to St. Paul's. 401-849-5444.
