Harvest of the Sea

Enjoy a cornucopia of seafood, watch oyster shuckers from all over the state, and sample some serious seafood specialties at the Bowen’s Wharf 27th Annual Seafood Festival. There will also be live cooking demonstrations and kid-friendly fare. Relax, enjoy the panoramic view and groove all day long to live music featuring folk, surf rock, Caribbean steel pan, reggae, blues and classic rock. More than two dozen vendors including fishermen and local restaurants are part of the seaside celebration. Dockside will be the Oliver Hazard Perry; be sure to check out mighty 200-foot Tall Ship and Rhode Island’s official sailing school vessel. There is no admission charge to the festival; food and beverages can be purchased at vendor booths. The event will be held, rain or shine, under the festival tents on Saturday, Oct. 14, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday, Oct. 15, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Visit bowenswharf.com and social channels for music schedule and event details.
