Japanese-Americans and World War II

A four-part series focusing on the upheaval in the lives of people of Japanese ancestry will be offered on Tuesdays, Oct. 10-31, from 3-5 p.m. at the Edward King House. Ken Nomiyama and Jim McIlwain will look at the historical context of the events surrounding the Japanese internment camps, at how life was lived in the camps, at the suffering that was endured, and the ways in which those affected responded to the challenges they faced. The cost to attend the seminar is $35. To register, visit edwardkinghouse.org.
