Four Faiths Walking Tour

There will be a walking tour of four houses of worship on Tuesdays, July 11-Oct. 31, from 1-4 p.m. The tour starts at Touro Synagogue, Touro Street. Visitors can explore the Loeb Center, admission included in the ticket. To fully enjoy the exhibits, it is suggested you arrive at 12:30 p.m. After visiting Touro Synagogue, visitors will be escorted to Trinity Church, Newport Congregational Church and St. Mary’s Church. ‘Music on the Lawn’

St. John the Evangelist, 61 Poplar St., will hold “Music on the Lawn” on Thursday, July 20, from 6-7:45 p.m. The Strattones, comprised of five vocalists and many instruments, play music from Dusty Springfield to Led Zeppelin to original pieces. Some seating and tables will be available for those who arrive early. Otherwise, bring blankets and lawn chairs. Food truck service, beer and wine will be available. Donations are appreciated. Movie Night

The public is invited to watch “Casablanca” at Emmanuel Church hall, 42 Dearborn St., on Friday, July 21, at 6 p.m. Snacks will be available or feel free to bring your own. Donations will be accepted. 401- 847-0675.

St. Matthew’s Summer Fair

St. Matthew’s Church, 87 Narragansett Ave., Jamestown, will hold a summer fair on Saturday, July 22. 401-423-1762.

‘Bach and Friends at Quarter Till’ Organ Recitals

The “Bach and Friends at Quarter Till” summer weekend organ recital series will be held on Saturdays and Sundays until Sept. 3 at Saint John’s Church, 61 Poplar St. Programs are held on Saturdays at 11:45 a.m. and 2:45 p.m., Sundays at 5:45 p.m. and 8:45 p.m. except for July 23 when there will not be an 8:45 p.m. recital. The concerts last for 15 minutes. Admission is 25 cents or any amount you wish. 401-848-2561.

Emmanuel Church Intergenerational Supper

Emmanuel Church, 42 Dearborn St., will hold an intergenerational supper on Thursday, July 27, from 5:30-8 p.m. The theme is American food. Bring a dish to share. Everyone is welcome. 401- 847-0675.

Hellenic Festival

St. Spryridon Church, 390 Thames St., will hold its Hellenic festival, highlighting the Greek culture through traditional food, pastries, wine, music and dancing, on Friday, July 28, 4 p.m.-midnight; Saturday, July 29, noon to 1 a.m., and Sunday, July 30, noon-6 p.m. 401-846-0555.

St. Mark’s Summer Festival

St. Marks’s Church, 60 Narragansett Ave., Jamestown, will hold its summer festival on Saturday, June 29, from 11 a.m.-6 p.m. 401-423- 1421.

‘Projecting Change’ Exhibit

Emmanuel Church, 42 Dearborn St., will display the Rhode Island School of Design and the Newport Restoration Foundation’s "Projecting Change" exhibit for the summer. The focus is on Bridge Street and the issue of preservation in historic neighborhoods that are severely threatened by rising sea water levels. The exhibit can be viewed during office hours and other times by arrangement: Monday and Thursday, 8 a.m.-2:30 p.m.; Tuesdays and Wednesdays, 8 a.m.- 12:30 p.m.; Fridays, 9 a.m.-noon; and Sundays, 7:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. 401-847-0675.

Early Bird Service

Calvary United Methodist Church offers an 8 a.m. service on Third Beach on Third Beach Road, Sundays through August. It is informal. 401-847-6181.

Summer Concerts

St. Mary’s Church, 12 William St., is offering free organ concerts on Sundays at 3 p.m. throughout the summer. The concerts feature the newly-restored pipe organ and organists from around the region. 401-847-0475.

Listening to Your Inner Voice

Gather will host a spiritual seminar called "Listening to Your Inner Voce" on Saturday, July 22 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The seminar will focus on connecting with, paying attention to and listening to your inner voice. The event will be hosted by Ken Gaus and Linda Evans and the cost for the event is $40 if you pre-register or $50 the day of. For questions, call 401-487-8700.
