“Big Daddy” Award Ceremony & Pre-Parade Party Honoring award winner IHOP Middletown, Bill and Karen Cardinal, Hibernian Hall, 6 p.m., free. Hors d’oeuvres and entertainment including Fishing with Finnegan, Mystic Highland bagpipe band, and a DJ. Free event. Cash Bar.

Celtic Music in the Mansion with Irish folksinger, Robbie O’Connell. Linden Place Museum,500 Hope St. Bristol, 7:30 p.m., $25, reservations recommended 401-253- 0390.

Saturday, March 11

Mayor’s Pre-Parade Reception Coffee and pastries, Thompson Middle School , 10 a.m. free.

Irish Hours on 1540 AM WADK 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. including live coverage of the parade. Traditional and contemporary Irish or Irishinfluenced music.

Post-Parade Family Party A free, non-alcohol event from 1 – 4 p.m. at The Hut, 35 Golden Hill St., behind Newport Library. Entertainment includes bag pipers, Irish step dancers, pirates and Tony the Dancing Cop. Door prize and “How Green AM I” contest with cash prize.

Post-parade Party Corned beef sandwiches, Irish music, cash bar, Hibernian Hall, noon, $20, advance tickets only.

Celebrating the Irish Corned beef and Irish beverages starting at 1p.m. Live music and sing-a-longs with Dave O’Manuel immediately following parade until 5 p.m. Music continues from 7-11 p.m., La Forge Casino Restaurant.
