RECENT DEATHS

Louise E. Adams (Armstrong), 91, formerly of Newport, passed away Oct. 22, 2016 in Haddam, Conn. She was the wife of the late Dr. Henry Adams. A Mass of Christian burial was held at St. Mary’s Church, Newport.

Mark Andrew Dobrott, 47, of Portsmouth, passed away Oct. 20, 2016 at Tufts Medical Center, Boston. He leaves behind his parents, Joseph and Lyse Dobrott, of Portsmouth, and brother David Dobrott (Sabine). He passed away after waiting several years for a heart transplant; an LVAD sustained him for three and a half years.

Margaret Estelle (Chaves) Gaston, 91, of Middletown, passed away Oct. 18, 2016 at Grand Islander Health Care Center of Middletown. She was the wife of the late Melton Marvin “Curly” Gaston. She leaves behind her sons, Michael Gaston (Joan), James Gaston, and Richard Gaston (Helen), all of Middletown, six grandchildren, and four greatgrandchildren. Wallace Terrence “Teddy” Javelle, 73, of Portsmouth, passed away Oct. 21, 2016 at Orchard View Manor, East Providence. He was a U.S. Army veteran and served in Vietnam. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, Oct. 27, from 5-8 p.m. at the Connors Funeral Home, 55 West Main Road in Portsmouth. A graveside service will be held Oct. 28, at 9 a.m. at Trinity Cemetery, East Main Road, Portsmouth.

John Neil Malone Jr., 37, of Middletown, passed away Oct. 21, 2016. He was the son of John Neil and Sandra (Trust) Malone Sr., husband of Jennifer, and father of Johnny, Kaitlin, Kyle, Paige, and Alexis. Donations in his memory may be made to Visiting Nurse Services of Newport and Bristol Counties, 1184 East Main Road, Portsmouth, RI 02871.

Henry X. McCarthy, 80, of Portsmouth, passed away Oct. 24, 2016 at Orchard View Manor, East Providence. He was the husband of the late Barbara (Cherry) McCarthy. He was a U.S. Army veteran. He leaves behind his son, Ryan McCarthy of Portsmouth, his daughter, Shannon Condon of Tiverton, and a granddaughter. Calling hours will be Friday, Oct. 28, from 5 – 8 p.m. at the Connors Funeral Home. His funeral service will be held Oct. 29 at 10 a.m. at the funeral home.

Francis Joseph Nunes, 81, of Middletown, passed away Oct. 19, 2016 at Silver Creek Manor, Bristol. He leaves behind his wife, Alberta C. (Borek) Nunes, and his children, Kathleen Nunes, William Nunes, Kimberly Nunes (Scott Roth), and two grandsons.
