Scouting for Food

Local Boy Scouts will be placing Scouting for Food door hangers on homes on Saturday morning, Oct. 29, about the annual food drive. Scouts will return Saturday, Nov. 5, by 9 a.m. to collect donations. Nonperishable, “in date” nutritious items can be placed in a bag or box with the tag attached and put on the doorstep. Some of the most needed items include peanut butter, breakfast cereal, whole wheat pasta, canned soups, granola bars, and tomato sauce. Food donations benefit the Rhode Island Community Food Bank and local food pantries.
