Arts Around the Fire

The new season of Arts and Cultural Alliance’s monthly networking event, Arts Around the Fire, begins on Tuesday, Oct. 18, from 6-8 p.m. at Salvation Café. Josh Short, founding artistic director of the Wilbury Group and director of the Providence Fringe Festival will discuss his plans to develop an offshoot of the festival in Newport. Arts Around the Fire is an opportunity for artists, writers, performers and arts patrons to engage with colleagues about events and accomplishments in the Newport County cultural community and learn about new ideas and good work being done in an informal atmosphere where artists and art lovers can connect.

There will be a cash bar and complimentary hors d’oeuvres donated by Salvation Café. No reservations needed. For more information or to become a member of the arts alliance, visit newportarts.org.
