The slightly rainy weather and temperatures in the 60s were ideal running conditions for the nearly 3,000 people who took part in the Newport 10-Miler on Sunday, June 5. The race, which started and ended at Forts Adams State Park and took the crowd along Ocean Drive, raised more than $20,000 for local charities, including a $16,500 donation to the Fort Adams Trust and $3,500 to the Boys & Girls Club of Newport County.
