Keeping Our Guards Up

Lifeguards Matt Violet (white hat), Clayton Hawes, and Kate Fisher remain vigilant from the main guard tower for any emergencies along Sachuest Beach’s mile-long stretch of sand in Middletown. Lifeguards went on duty over the Memorial Day weekend and will keep beachgoers safe through Labor Day. The iconic white rowboat is accessible throughout the season for busy swim days and emergencies. Beach parking stickers can be purchased daily from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Parking rates vary–resident seasonal rates are $70; residential senior rates (age 65 and over) are $65; proof of residency and/or age is required. Non-resident summer parking rates are $140. Daily parking is $10 weekdays and $30 weekends. (Photo by Jack Kelly)
