The Well Coffeehouse

The Well is a once-a-month Christian coffeehouse held at The Annex, 40 Marcus Wheatland Blvd., from 7-9 p.m. It features area musicians and performers from various walks of life and affiliations. All are welcome. Upcoming dates are Fridays, May 27 and June 17. Admission is free and refreshments will be served. For more information, email wellcoffeehouse@gmail.com.

Evensong and Procession

Weather permitting, St. John’s Church, 61 Poplar St., will celebrate the feast of Corpus Christi on Sunday, May 29, at 4 p.m. with a Solemn Evensong, outdoor procession, and benediction of the Blessed Sacrament. The Sacrament will be carried around the block under the processional canopy. 401-848-2561.

Chamber Music Concert

This year St. Matthew’s Church, 87 Narragansett Ave., Jamestown, will be a host site for one of the “Music on the Hill” chamber music concerts. On Wednesday, June 1, at 7 p.m., world-renowned piano virtuoso Joseph Kalichstein will join with clarinet virtuoso Daniel Gilbert to perform pieces by Brahms, Schumann and Chopin. Tickets are $20 in advance at MusicOnTheHillri.org and $25 at the door.

Trinity Tour Guides Sought

Historic Trinity Church on Queen Anne Square is looking for volunteers to lead tours of the church, a National Historic Landmark. Guides are required to complete a two-hour training course on either Saturday, June 4 or 11, from 10 a.m.- noon. Understanding Contemporary Poetry

On Thursday, May 26, at 6:30 p.m., the Learning Center of Channing Church will present “Reading Contemporary Poetry” with Renee Soto, an associate professor of creative writing at Roger Williams University. Professor Soto will conduct a hands-on crash course in reading contemporary American poetry, her area of special interest and expertise. The suggested donation of $5 may be paid at the door.
