Passover Seder

Temple Shalom will hold its annual Passover Seder on Friday, April 22. Due to the Temple’s devastating flood earlier this year, the Seder will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 177 Miantonomi Avenue, Middletown. ‘Jesus without Christianity’ Seminar

The public is invited to attend the Learning Center of Channing Church’s seminar about who Jesus was and what he taught to be held on Wednesday, April 27, at 7 p.m.

The Well Coffeehouse

The Well is a once-a-month Christian coffeehouse held at The Annex, 40 Marcus Wheatland Blvd., from 7-9 p.m. It features area musicians and performers from various walks of life and affiliations. ‘A Day Apart’ Spiritual Renewal Retreat

On Saturday, April 23, from 9:45 a.m.-3 p.m., St. Paul’s Church will offer A Day Apart Spiritual Renewal. All denominations are invited. Event is free, but call the church office, 401-846-0966, as a light lunch will be served.

Festal Eastertide Evensong

On Sunday, April 24, at 4 p.m., St. John’s Church at Washington and Willow streets will offer a Festal Eastertide Evensong featuring the Professional Choristers of The Choir School, St. John’s Adult Choir, and the Rhode Island College Brass Quintet. 401-848-2561.

East Bay Hope and Cope

Support Group

On Sunday, April 24, at 5 p.m., the East Bay Hope and Cope support group will be held in the chapel meeting room at St. Barnabas Church, 1697 East Main Road, Portsmouth. The support group is for people and their families who need or are currently in recovery. For more information, email deaconjohn@silvia.com.

‘Lettuce Turnip the Beet’ Fundraiser

On Wednesday, April 27, from 5:30-8:30 p.m., there will be a fundraiser for the Island Community Garden at Great Friends Meeting House.

DivorceCare Class

DivorceCare is a divorce recovery support group. A session will be offered at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 28 at St. Peter’s Church, 525 Broadway. The focus will be on the loss of intimacy. For registration and other information, email pastorstpetersri@gmail.com.

Kingdom Breakthrough New England

CrossPoint Church and Evangelical Friends Church will host a two-day event of arts and worship. On April 30 from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. at CrossPoint Church there will be prayer, worship and teaching workshops; at 6 p.m., at Rogers High School, the Light of the World Ballet will perform. On May 1 at 11 a.m., there will be a worship service along with another ballet performance at Jane Pickens Theatre. The two-day event is free and open to the public.
