Easter Egg Hunts

March 25 & 26

The Newport Recreation Department will host a flashlight Easter egg hunt on Friday, March 25. Children between the ages of 8 and 10 are invited to participate. The hunt will be held at Freebody Park at 8 p.m. sharp. Participants must bring their own flashlight, a 2 “D” cell size or smaller, and a bag or basket. Free of charge. Rain or shine.

On Saturday, March 26, children and adults are invited to enjoy breakfast with the Easter Bunny at the Elks Lodge from 9 - 11 a.m. Advanced reservations are required by calling the Newport Recreation office at 401-845- 5800. $4 a plate.

Also on Saturday, March 26, there will be an Easter egg hunt for children between the ages of 3 and 7. The hunt is held at Touro Park and begins at 10 a.m. sharp. Children should bring their own basket or bag and hunt for eggs to be redeemed for a prize. Free of charge. For more information, call the Newport Recreation

Easter Sunday

Emmanuel Church, located at 42 Dearborn St., is holding their annual Easter egg hunt immediately following the 10 a.m. service on Sunday, March 27. All are welcome to participate. For more information, contact the church office at 401-847-0675.

Trinity Church, located at 141 Spring St., is holding an Easter egg hunt immediately following the 10 a.m. service on Sunday, March 27. For more information, contact the church at 401-846- 0660.

The Hyatt Regency Newport, located on Goat Island, is holding an Easter egg hunt on Sunday, March 27. The hunt will begin following brunch at 12:30 p.m. and run until 2 p.m. Meet in the Grand Ballroom foyer for the hunt and pictures with the Easter Bunny.
