Have a Heart Winter Tradition

To the Editor: Every family has their holiday traditions. Part of my family holiday tradition is a visit to the Potter League for Animals. We started visiting a few years ago and now do it annually. I’m a proud board member and wanted my family to see what can be done for animals with local support. On the day we visited this year, an eight-month-old cat named Midnight was going to her forever home with a family that couldn’t have been happier. The Potter League is an open admission facility, so no animal is turned away, and we left knowing that the Potter League would work hard to see that all the animals would get homes. My family is always amazed and heartened by the organization and the community that supports it. On Feb. 5, the Potter League’s annual Have a Heart event will be held at OceanCliff. All animals deserve a safe and happy home, and helping them get one makes your heart feel good. It’s another great opportunity for the community to come together to support this incredible local organization.
