Honoring Dr. King

Temple Shalom will offer a dairy potluck on Friday, Jan. 15, at 6:30 p.m., followed by the annual Martin Luther King Jr., Shabbat worship. On Tuesday, Jan. 19, United Congregational Church will gather with Temple Shalom, 223 Valley Road, Middletown, at noon for a dairy potluck and a discussion with a representative from the NAACP. Adult Christian Formation

On Sunday, Jan. 17, Trinity Church’s Rev. Alan Neale, assisting priest, will present the second program of the series "Discovering the Divine Magic in our Lives." The discussion will be "Life's Events- Opportunities for Openness.” The program will be held in Trinity Church’s Honyman Hall, Queen Anne Square, from 9-9:45 a.m. Coffee will be served and all are welcome to attend. Book Group

The Emmanuel Church Book Group’s next meeting will be on Tuesday, Jan. 19, at 6 p.m. The discussion will focus on “All the Light We Cannot See,” by Anthony Doerr. All are welcome. Warm Up Wednesday

St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, 12 Marlborough St., hosts Warm up Wednesdays from 1-4 p.m. in Barber Hall to welcome neighbors for coffee, tea, snacks and fellowship. The next Warm Up Wednesday will be on Jan. 20. For more information, call 401-846-0966.

Happy Bookers

United Congregational Church will hold its book group on Tuesday, Jan. 26, at 7 p.m. in the Manchester Room. Anyone is welcome.
