RECENT DEATHS

Alice P. Daniels, 85, of Portsmouth, passed away Dec. 29, 2015 at Philip Hulitar Inpatient Center in Providence. She leaves behind her husband, Harcourt Albert Daniels Jr., and two children. She was the mother of the late Keith A. Daniels.

Ernest Vance Lenzi, 74, passed way Dec. 30, 2015 at the Grand Islander in Middletown. He leaves behind his wife, Shirley (Jarjoura) Lenzi, three children, and eleven grandchildren. Donations in his memory may be made to the National Stroke Association, stroke.org.

Kerri Shea Marshall, 42, of Newport, passed away Jan. 1, 2016 at home. She leaves behind two children. Calling hours will be Friday, Jan. 8, from 6 – 8 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home.

Louis C. Martineau, 88, of Portsmouth, passed away Dec. 30, 2015 at Rhode Island Hospital. He was the husband of the late Lois (Slaiding) Martineau and father of the late Brian Martineau. He leaves behind two sons, Louis Martineau of Mo. and Lee Martineau of Middletown, five grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Louis was an Army veteran of World War II. Edmund J. Mello, 83, of Portsmouth, a lover of roses, passed away Jan. 5, 2016. He leaves behind his wife, Gertrude (Arsenault) Mello; two children, Matthew Mello of Portsmouth and Dr. Suzanne Mello-Stark (Bill); and one step-grandson. He was the father of the late Jeannine Mello. Calling hours will be held on Friday, Jan. 8, from 8-9:30 a.m. at Connors Funeral Home, Portsmouth, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Anthony Church, 2836 East Main Road, Portsmouth. Edward Joseph Reynolds, 68, of Newport, passed away Jan. 4, 2016 at home. He is survived by his children, Andrea Winquist (Michael) of Barrington, Edward Reynolds (Yanika) of Middletown, his stepdaughter Shari Donnelly Correira (Angelo) of Newport, and two grandchildren. He was a Vietnam veteran. Donations can be made in his honor to the American Cancer Society, 931 Jefferson Blvd., Suite 3004, Warwick, RI 02886.
