Anthony L. (Tony) DiBiasio, of Portsmouth, former “Spy in the Sky” radio and TV traffic and weather reporter, passed away Dec. 11, 2015 at Rhode Island Hospital. He leaves behind his wife, Nancy (Nashka) DiBiasio, a son, Daniel Tony DiBiasio Sr. (Josephine), and two grandsons. Funeral services will be private.

Joseph William Perry, 91, of Portsmouth, passed away Dec. 11, 2015 at home. He was the husband of the late Marianna M. (Mendes) Perry. He leaves behind his sons, Bruce W. Perry (Donna) of La. and Jeffrey W. Perry of Va., five grandchildren and three-great grandchildren. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, Dec. 17, at 10 a.m. in St. Barnabas Church, 1697 East Main Road, Portsmouth.

Edward Patrick McCarthy, 69, of Middletown, passed away Dec. 11, 2015 at Newport Hospital. He was the husband of Janet Kelly McCarthy. He leaves behind his daughter, Kelly M. Sporer (Timothy) of Mass., his son, Rian McCarthy (Samantha) of Tiverton, and two grandchildren. He was the father of the late Michael E. Mc- Carthy. He served in Vietnam and taught in the Newport school system for 30 years. He was buried with military honors. Donations in his memory may be made to the Michael E. McCarthy Scholarship Fund, P.O. Charles F. Anderson, 74, of Middletown, passed away Dec. 11, 2015 at home. He was the husband of the late Eileen (Silvia) Anderson, who passed away two months ago. He leaves behind his children, Charlie Anderson (Susy) and Brian Anderson of Middletown, and Melissa Wordell (Sidney) of Little Compton; eight grandchildren; and six great grandchildren. Harrison H. Seveney Jr., 93, of Portsmouth, passed away Dec. 10, 2015 at the Philip Hulitar Inpatient Center, Providence. He was the husband of the late Susie V. (Wallen) Seveney. He was a World War II Army veteran and participated in the Battle of the Bulge. He leaves behind his son, Bruce W. Seveney, of Portsmouth, and three grandchildren. He was the father of the late Lt. Wayne A. Seveney. He was buried with military honors. Donations in his memory may be made to the Rhode Island Veterans Home, 480 Metacom Ave., Bristol, RI 02809.

Thomas “Tommy” Edward Beebe, 68, of Middletown and Fryeburg, Me. passed away Dec. 11, 2015 at John Clarke Nursing Center, Middletown. He attended and worked at the Maher Center for 45 years before retiring five years ago. Tommy is survived by his sister, Beverly J. Lawton, and his brothers, John C. Beebe III (Ada), Robert A. Beebe Sr. (Barbara) and sister in-law Donna R. Beebe. He was preceded in death by his brother Chester (Pete) W. Beebe, Jr. and his nephew Brian and niece Karen Beebe. Donations may be made in his name to the James L. Maher Center, 906 Aquidneck Avenue, Middletown, RI 02842.

Mary Alice Lyons, 70, of Middletown, passed away Dec.13, 2015 at home. She was the wife of the late David N. Lyons. She leaves behind a daughter, Kimberly A. Lyons, and a son, John Lyons. A Mass of Christian burial will take place at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 17, at St. Joseph’s Church, Newport. Donations in her memory may be made to the James L. Maher Center, 120 Hillside Ave., Newport, RI 02840.

Norberto S. Escobar, 81, of Middletown, passed away Dec. 15, 2015, at home. He was the husband of Irene (Rodrigues) Escobar. He leaves behind his daughters MaryAnn Wilson (Stan) of Fall River and Lucille Breeden of Portsmouth, and three grandchildren. Calling hours will be Thursday, Dec. 17, from 4 - 8 p.m., in the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport.
