Florence R. Beaver, 81, of Portsmouth, passed away Sept. 17, 2015 at Newport Hospital. She was the wife of the late Harold Beaver. She leaves her daughter, Colleen Beaver, and a grandson. Patricia Ann Cahill, 69, of Hopkinton, R.I. passed away Sept. 20, 2015 at Westerly Hospital. Calling hours will be Saturday, Sept. 26, from 12 – 4 p.m. at the Memorial Funeral Home, followed by a service at 4 p.m. Donations in her memory may be made to the Women’s Resource Center, 114 Touro St., Newport, RI 02840.

Ann Louise (Hannafin) Hatzberger, 92, of Portsmouth, passed away on her birthday, Sept. 21, 2015 at Newport Hospital. She was the wife of the late William Francis Hatzberger Jr. She leaves behind her children, Patricia Duponte of Portsmouth, William Hatzberger III of Conn., James Hatzberger of Warwick, Michael Hatzberger of Tiverton, Karen Toppa of Middletown, and Mark Hatzberger and Maureen Arruda, both of Portsmouth; 15 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. Calling hours will be Friday, Sept. 25, from 5-8 p.m. at Connors Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Sept. 26 at 10 a.m. at St. Barnabas Church, Portsmouth. Faith M. (Angell) Mendes, 88, of Portsmouth, passed away Sept. 15, 2015 at Rhode Island Hospital, Providence. She was the wife of the late Joseph M. Mendes Jr. She leaves behind her two daughters, four granddaughters, and six great-grandchildren. Concye Anne Patterson Nelson, 79, of Portsmouth, passed away Sept. 20, 2015 at the Grand Islander Nursing Care Facility, Middletown. She was married to the late Arthur L. Nelson Jr. She leaves behind her son, Michael Nelson, of Portsmouth and her daughter, Rev. Sheree A. Harrington (Barry), of Mass. Marion Crowell O’Donnell, 93, passed away Sept. 17, 2015 at Village House, Newport. She was the wife of the late Thomas R. O’Donnell. Edward Frank Pacheco, 51, of Portsmouth, passed away unexpectedly Sept. 18, 2015 at Newport Hospital. He was a firefighter for 23 years on the Newport Naval Base, retiring in 2013. He leaves behind his wife, Mary (Holiday) Pacheco, his children, Megan Pacheco and Erik Pacheco (Kirstin) of Portsmouth, and two grandchildren. A memorial service will be held on Friday, Sept. 25, at 11 a.m. at King’s Grant Fellowship, Portsmouth. Ruth Maynard (Ragsdale) Spooner, 98, of Portsmouth, passed away Sept. 21, 2015 at Newport Hospital. She was the wife of the late Milton K. Spooner. She leaves behind two children, two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be Friday, Sept. 25, at 2 p.m. in St. Mary's Churchyard, Portsmouth. Mary F. Sullivan, 95, of Newport, passed away Sept. 20, 2015 at Newport Hospital. She was the wife of the late Thomas J. Sullivan. She leaves behind a son and three grandchildren.
