Mini-Concerts at St. John's

"Bach & Friends at Quarter Till" is held on weekends until Sept. 6, with five identical programs on Saturdays at 11:45 a.m. and 2:45 p.m.; and Sundays at 2:45 p.m., 5:45 p.m., and 8:45 p.m. Enjoy these mini-concerts of organ music by J. S. Bach and another composer at each program. A video monitor shows the organ’s mechanisms and organist’s hands as he plays. The concerts benefit the renovation of the 1894 Hook & Hastings pipe organ built in Boston and installed when the church building was new, 121 years ago. Last summer, 110 mini-concerts raised more than $11,000 to begin restoration. St. John’s is located at the corner of Washington and Willow streets. For more information, call 401- 848-2561.
