Shorebird migration continues across Aquidneck Island with the sightings of new migrants daily. Black-bellied plovers, semipalmated plovers, greater yellowlegs, willets, lesser yellowlegs, ruddy turnstones, and a number of sandpiper species have been observed in area wetlands and along local beaches and rocky shorelines.
