Andrea van Beuren and John Peixinho Andrea van Beuren and John Peixinho newportFILM's sixth annual summer benefit took place on Aug. 8 at the International Tennis Hall of Fame. The spectacular night brought in a record $160,000 to further newportFILM’s mission of educating, enlightening and creating community dialogue through documentary film.

More than 350 guests enjoyed specialty drinks and savories by Blackstone Caterers on the horseshoe piazza while mingling in support of documentary film.

Presented by Audrain Automobile Museum and supported by Leman Manhattan Preparatory School (as well as newportFILM's year-round supporting sponsors Franklin and Company Design Associates, Kirby Perkins Construction, The Strand Hotel NYC, and Lexington Partners), newport- FILM’s summer benefit is the year-round documentary film festival's biggest fundraising event of the year.

Year-round programming for all ages focuses on topics relating to social justice, environmental health, culture and education. The nonprofit has become a part of the cultural fabric and vibrancy of Rhode Island's arts community.
