Good Vibrations for IYRS Gala

“We are preparing people who are ready for jobs both in and outside the marine trades,” said IYRS President, Terry Nathan, to the 650 supporters gathered for the school’s annual Summer Gala.

After a cocktail reception and rousing auction in Restoration Hall, guests moved outdoors to a tent transformed into a festive beach party atmosphere and enjoyed dinner prepared by Blackstone Caterers. The evening was capped off by a lively performance by The Beach Boys that kept guests jamming to the good vibrations on the dance floor, and beach balls bounced until late in to the night.


Leeds Mitchell IV and Carter Richardson Leeds Mitchell IV and Carter Richardson IYRS supporters Kate and Jimmy Gubelmann, Anne and Matt Hamilton and Helene and Archie van Beuren served as 2015 gala co-chairs. When totaled, just over $1 million gross was raised over the gala weekend.
