RECENT DEATHS

Jane Mary Clarke, 72, of Tiverton, formerly of Portsmouth, passed away April 26, 2015 at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Center of Providence. She was the wife of the late William A. Clarke Sr. She leaves behind her children, Stephanie St. Laurent (David) of Portsmouth, Joan Viveiros and Stephen Clarke (Jeannette) of Tiverton, an honorary daughter Carisa Daniels of Las Vegas, and nine grandchildren. Donations in her memory may be made to Home and Hospice Care of RI, Philip Hulitar Home, 1085 North Main St., Providence, RI 02904.

Stephen Joseph Gleason, 56, of Middletown, passed away May 4, 2015 at home surrounded by family. He was the husband of Suzanne (Burns) Gleason. Calling hours will be Sunday, May 10, from 3–7 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home. His service will be held on Monday, May 11, at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Church, Broadway. Donations in his memory may be made to the Three Angels Fund, P.O. Box 4001, Middletown, RI 02842, a local organization supporting those in our community who are battling cancer.

Catherine M. (McMahon) Gorman, 66, of Newport, passed away peacefully at home on April 28, 2015 with her son by her side, after a seven-month battle with ALS. Donations in her memory may be made to Compassionate Care ALS, P.O. Box 1052, West Falmouth, MA 02574.

Calvin C. “Lucky” and Dorothy M. (Borden) Milton, of Portsmouth, will have a memorial service held in their honor on Saturday, May 9, at 11 a.m. at Connors Funeral Home, Portsmouth. Calvin passed away on Dec. 20, 2013, and Dorothy passed on Feb. 10, 2015. A reception will follow the service.

Dolores Veronica (Regan) Nore, 85, of Middletown, passed away April 29, 2015 at Newport Hospital. She was the wife of Oscar A. Nore. She leaves behind four children and four grandchildren. Donations in her memory may be made to the NYPD Benevolent Association, c/o Widows and Children’s Fund, 125 Broad St., 11th Floor, New York, NY, 10004-2400.

Muriel O. Pinier, 50, of Newport, passed away of lymphoma on April 29, 2015 at Rhode Island Hospital. She was the wife of Dr. Timothy Tash. She leaves behind her daughters: Eva, Mathilde, and Julia. Calling hours will be at O’Neill–Hayes Funeral Home on Thursday, May 7, from 4–7 p.m. A memorial service will be Saturday, May 9, at 11 a.m. at Edwards Church, 297 Main St., Northampton, Mass.

Helen K. “H.E.” Lord Quigley 92, of Newport, passed away April 29, 2015 at Newport Hospital. She was the wife of the late William A. Quigley. She leaves behind her daughters, Joanne E. Capwell of Portsmouth and Janet Griffin (Robert) of Middletown, four grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. Donations in her memory may be made to the Village House Activities Fund, 70 Harrison Ave., Newport, RI 02840.
