Blessed Sacrament Talk

As part of St. Lucy’s adult education program, Jane Parrillo will present “The History of Eucharistic Adoration” on Wednesday, April 29, at 10 a.m. and 7 p.m. in the parish center, 909 West Main Road, Middletown. All are welcome to attend. For more information, call 401-847-6153.

Nonviolence Forum

Reverend Sharon Key will lead a forum, “Spring into Nonviolent Action,” on Sunday, April 26 from 11 a.m. to noon at Central Baptist Church. She is a certified trainer in the philosophy and strategies of nonviolence as developed by Martin Luther King, Jr. The public is invited and also invited to attend church services that day at 9:30 a.m., when Reverend Key will be preaching and singing. Harp Benefit Concert

Teenage parishioner Arilyn Mitchell will offer a concert of harp music at St. Mary’s Catholic Church on Saturday, May 2, at 7 p.m. She is fundraising to attend the Tanglewood Institute for an intensive summer music camp, one of the most prestigious in the world for young musicians. She is currently a member of the Boston Philharmonic Youth Orchestra.

Tea at Calvary

The Lifeline group at Calvary United Methodist Church will hold a “Bridge the Generations” spring high tea on Sunday, May 3, with traditional afternoon tea favorites. The guest speaker will be Cyndy Viveiros, director of development, public affairs and philanthropy at United Methodist ElderCare. Cost is $5. All donations will support the purchase of outdoor equipment for Calvary Christian Preschool and the United Methodist Elder Care Fund. Calvary is at 200 Turner Road, Middletown.
