Guest juror Alyson Baker, director of the Aldrich Contemporary Art Museum in Ridgefield, Conn., selected 86 artworks from 326 submissions to the Newport Annual Members' Juried Exhibition at the Newport Art Museum for the show on display until May 17.

Chris Sancomb, who won the Best-In-Show Award, was among 14 award recipients selected by Baker and announced during an opening reception on Feb. 6.

Curator Nancy Grinnell selected Thomas Palmer for the Newport Art Museum Award. He will receive his own exhibition at the museum.

Other prizewinners include Nancy Gaucher-Thomas (1st in Drawing), Rebecca Siemering (1st in Mixed Media), Eileen McCarney Muldoon (1st in Photography), Mary Dondero (1st in Prints/Pastels), Jessica Pisano (1st in Painting), Meris Barreto (1st in Three-Dimensional), and Priscilla C. Malone (1st in Watercolor).
