Edward King House Garden Club Events

The Edward King House's Garden Club invites the public to a discussion by Matt Schenck of the Norman Bird Sanctuary about the native New England Cottontail on Saturday, Feb. 7, from 10 -11 a.m. at the center, 35 King St. The event is free to EKH Garden Club members, $5 for EKH members and $10 to members of the public

This informative and interactive lecture will cover the natural history of the New England Cottontail and threats the population faces today, including the invasive Eastern Cottontail and habitat loss. He will also discuss the work the sanctuary has done to restore the transitional zone between seashore and upland habitats and why this area is so important to the New England Cottontail.
