NYC Begins Its Frostbite Series

(Photo by Bill Shea) For the first day of Newport Yacht Club’s 2015 frostbite season racing, 22 people joined in the frostbite fun on Sunday, Jan. 11. It was literally, frostbite conditions with winds around 15 knots and temperatures only in the mid- 20s. Unfortunately, only four races were run because of a motor problem with the crash boat. Rick Nebiolo was the first place finisher overall, winning races 1 and 4. Doug Lyman and Steve Clarke tied for second place, Lyman won race 2 and took second place in race 4. Clarke placed first in race 4 and second in race 2.

Frost Biter’s Bash
