Norman Bird Sanctuary Program

Dr. Charles Clarkson, of Roger Williams University, will give a presentation on “Rising Seas, Shrinking Habitat: Marsh Birds & Rhode Island” on Dec. 11, at 6:30 p.m. as part of the ongoing ED Talks at the Norman Bird Sanctuary. He will give an overview of the Saltmarsh Habitat & Avian Research Program (SHARP), a comprehensive collaboration between universities, federal and state governments along the East Coast.

This lecture will discuss the history of the research program, the findings to date and the projections for how our marsh birds will fare with current climate change scenarios.

A question and answer period will follow the talk. The cost to attend is $6 for members, $8 for nonmembers. To attend pre-register at normanbirdsanctuary.org.
