New Initiatives

As Clean Ocean Access, a nonprofit with a mission to improve water quality and the coastlines in Newport County, expands its core programs, they are seeking volunteers for new initiatives. For more information contact info@cleanoceanaccess.org. Flow metering (Middletown, when it rains)

COA seeks volunteers who can give one hour per week when it rains to monitor flow rates in partnership with the University of Rhode Island and Salve Regina University. Shoreline Protection (flexible hours)

Join the team of volunteers protecting the Sachuest Point coastline. If you can volunteer one hour per month, contact us and we’ll get you involved in this great outdoors activity. Cliff Walk Journal (flexible time)

Join the team building a photo journal of the Cliff Walk. COA has most of the pictures so it can be done inside during the winter. Marine Debris Removal (Jamestown, Dec. 6)

Join COA at Hull Cove in Jamestown for their 9 annual marine debris removal event. Hot beverages provided by Empire Tea & Coffee.
