Evening of Poetry Explores the Meaning of Home

Zainab Syed, a recent graduate of Brown University, is a Pakistani activist and spoken word artist. Her poetry is inspired by her experiences as a traveler who has lived in many places; she seeks to explore what it means to call a place home, and to not know home at all. Zainab has won numerous awards in prestigious poetry slams, and has performed her work at venues in NYC, Boston, DC, Pakistan, and Australia. The event will be held upstairs at the Salvation Café on Sunday, Nov. 2 at 6 p.m.

People are encouraged to come early or stay late, and to enjoy a snack or dinner downstairs. A $5 donation is suggested, to assist the artist in continuing in her work.
