For What It’s Worth

I purchased this tapestry in Egypt in the 1960s at an outdoor bazar. I think that it was pretty inexpensive. The size is about 2’ x 4’ tall. Can you tell me if it has any value today? Charles E. Charles:

This style tapestry, which is almost always hand stitched, has been made since the late 19th century. It was made for the tourist market copying hieroglyphs from the ancient tombs. I am sure that similar pieces are still being sold today. Over here, your tapestry would sell for about $100.
