Sunny Days Ahead

Visitors strolling along the Cliff Walk behind Salve Regina’s McAuley Hall this week were treated to a vibrant sea of sunshine and promise stretching across the lawn of the campus. Thousands of daffodils have been planted along the iconic walkway, as well as in many other locations in public view throughout the city, as part of the Daffodil Project. The Daffodillion campaign, begun last fall, aims to up the number of bulbs planted to 1,000,000. With more than 250,000 already in the ground and 98,000 placed last fall alone, the city is awash in yellow blooms.
