April Newport Gallery Night


The Jamestown Arts Center is hosting an opening reception of “The Flower Show,” with paintings by Georgia Marsh on Friday, April 18 from 6 – 8 p.m. This will be Marsh's debut solo show in RI and the first time these recent paintings have been exhibited anywhere. She has shown her work widely in New York and Europe. Her works will be on display through May 23. The gallery, 18 Valley St., Jamestown, is open Wednesday – Saturday from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m., jamestownartcenter.org.

Join the Newport Gallery Organization in celebrating its 14th season by attending Gallery Night on Thursday, April 10 from 5 – 8 -.m. Highlights of April Newport Gallery Night include a showing at Sheldon Fine Art of distinguished artist Rowenna Anderson. A diverse group of 12 artists and close friends are featured at Spring Bull Gallery’s “Art by the Dozen.” Each has a unique style, love of art, and incredible range of creativity. The artists’ work in various mediums including: oil, acrylic, watercolor pottery and cut glass. C. L. Sherman's Gallery has new hats in for Easter from Ann McMahon, and new oils by Anne Cordin. Also, if you did not have a chance last month the Redwood Library and Athenaeum is still showing their “Portraits of Interiors” exhibition, so be sure to stop in and check it out.
