Everyone Loves A Parade

Marchers in last year’s Newport St. Patrick’s Day Parade show the spirit that has kept the parade going for 57 years. This year’s parade is the 58th, making it the longest-running annual St. Patrick’s parade in the Northeast. Hundreds of marchers will start from City Hall on Broadway on Saturday at 11 a.m. The parade route takes them south along Thames Street to end in the Irish stronghold of the Fifth Ward neighborhood at the doors of St. Augustin's Church.
