Tricare Walk-In Customer Service to End

Walk-in service at the Naval Health Clinic New England Newport TRICARE Service Center will no longer be available as of April 1. This only applies to customer service and does not affect patients’ benefits or health care delivery at the clinic.

The website tricare.mil offers online health care, pharmacy, dental, and claims contact information; benefit information; and the ability to make changes to enrollment and primary care managers.

When walk-in service ends April 1, beneficiaries who want personal assistance can call Health Net Federal Services LLC, at 1-877-874- 2273, for enrollment and benefit help.

Walk-in customer service is the most expensive possible customer support option. The Department of Defense estimates a savings of approximately $250 million over five years through its elimination.
