Toiling on the Bell Tower

The spectacular silhouette of Trinity Church is sporting a different look these days, with a web of scaffolding blanketing the historic house of worship. The planned maintenance project to repair and paint the bell tower and re-gild the weather vane evolved into a more extensive effort when it was discovered that approximately 600' of clapboard had to be replaced, primarily on the west side of the building. Contractors are replacing the pine wood with cedar and estimate that the entire project will be completed by the end of October.
